EC Habitats Directive Seapen faunal communities can be found in some very sheltered examples of Annex I type Large shallow inlets and bays, and in Scandinavian fjords. However, the deep sediment habitats in which they mostly occur (other than in Scandinavia) are not adequately represented in Annex I.
